WOW. Simply put that that was my initial reaction to watching all the votes come in overnight post election. Assuming an unlikely drastic turnaround, the scale of the votes so far and their patterns confirm that William Samuel Ruto, or WSR as he’s often known, is well on headed his way towards Kenya’s State House. Potentially he’s on his way towards being the most impactful President Kenya has had since Daniel Moi himself. Rest assured, this is nothing short of a democratic revolution on a continent where these kind of dramatic political events often don’t happen.
But before we get into the vote and how its scaled out, and before we even get into what this all means and what a Ruto Presidency potentially means, we have to just marvel at the results. I think businesswoman Beth Kasinga tweeted it best over the night,
